What this page covers How usable this site is if you have a disability, the gaps we already know about, and how to reach us another way.
1. Our commitment
Software should not be the reason someone cannot do their job or book an appointment. Vedatricks is committed to making this website and our products usable by people with visual, hearing, motor and cognitive disabilities, and by people using screen readers, magnification, voice control, switch access or keyboard-only navigation.
This is a statement of what is true today, not a badge. Where we fall short, section 6 says so.
2. The standard we apply
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA — the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the W3C.
- IS 17802 — the Bureau of Indian Standards accessibility standard for ICT products and services, which applies to private as well as public services and aligns with WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
- Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016, section 46 and Rule 15 of the RPwD Rules 2017, which require service providers to make goods and services accessible.
3. What this statement covers
- In scope: www.vedatricks.com — every public page, form and document listed in our sitemap.
- Assessed separately: each Vedatricks product application. Product accessibility varies by module and is being brought to the same target; ask us for the current position on a specific product before you buy.
- Out of scope: content published by third parties, and archived material that is no longer maintained.
4. What we have built into this website
- Semantic HTML with one
h1per page and a correct heading order, landmarks, and lists that are actual lists. - A “Skip to content” link as the first focusable element on every page.
- Full keyboard operation: no keyboard traps, a logical focus order, and a visible focus ring on every interactive element in both light and dark sections.
- Colour contrast that meets or exceeds 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and interface borders; colour is never the only way we convey meaning.
- Interactive targets at least 44 by 44 CSS pixels.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images; decorative images and icons hidden from assistive technology.
- Form fields with persistent visible labels, described error messages tied to the field, and errors announced to screen readers rather than shown only in colour.
- No carousels, no auto-playing audio, and no content that moves on its own for more than five seconds.
- Every entrance animation is disabled when your system asks for reduced motion, and all content is visible without JavaScript.
- Layout reflows to 320 CSS pixels wide and supports 200% text zoom without loss of content or function.
- Video, where used, is decorative and muted, with a static poster image; any video carrying information will carry captions and a transcript.
- Tables are marked up with header cells and scopes; wide tables scroll inside their own container so the page never scrolls sideways.
- Page language is declared, and the site works in the browser’s reader mode.
5. Conformance status
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means most of the site meets the standard, and some content does not — see section 6. A full conformance claim will be made only after an independent audit, which is planned for term not yet agreed; this document is in legal review.
6. Known gaps
- PDF documents. Some downloadable PDFs are not fully tagged. Ask us and we will send the content as accessible HTML or plain text.
- Product screenshots. Screenshots have text alternatives describing what they show, but the fine detail inside a screenshot is not always available as text. Tell us which one matters and we will describe it in full.
- Complex data tables. Some comparison and pricing tables are wide and require horizontal scrolling on small screens.
- The Veda assistant. Its live-region announcements and keyboard trap handling are still being tested with screen readers.
- Other issues found in testing: term not yet agreed; this document is in legal review.
7. Third-party content
Two third-party components appear on this site and we do not control their internals: Cloudflare Turnstile on forms, and Razorpay Checkout on payment pages. We choose accessible configurations where a choice exists, and we always provide a non-blocking route: if a verification or a checkout is not usable for you, email or call us and we will complete it with you.
8. How we assess accessibility
How we test
The tools, the manual checks and where an independent audit stands.
- Self-evaluation during development against the WCAG 2.1 AA success criteria.
- Automated checks in our build and review process for contrast, alternative text, labels and landmark structure.
- Manual keyboard-only testing of every new page and interactive component.
- Screen-reader spot checks with term not yet agreed; this document is in legal review.
- Independent audit: none commissioned yet. When one is, the auditor and the date appear here.
- Last internal review of this website: term not yet agreed; this document is in legal review.
