What this page covers Every cookie and similar technology this website can set, what each one does, and how to switch the optional ones off.
1. What this policy covers
Cookies are small files a website asks your browser to store. We also use one or two related technologies — local storage and session storage — that work in a similar way. This policy covers all of them on www.vedatricks.com. Each Vedatricks product publishes its own cookie information inside the product.
How the resulting data is used, shared and retained is described in our Privacy Policy.
2. Cookies under the DPDP Act 2023
The DPDP Act does not have a separate cookie rule, but a cookie that can identify you holds personal data, and the Act’s consent rules then apply. So:
- Strictly necessary cookies run without consent, because the site cannot work without them.
- Preference and measurement cookies are set only after you opt in.
- No box is pre-ticked, and “Reject all” is as prominent and as easy as “Accept all”.
- Nothing that needs consent runs before you give it.
- You can change your mind at any time, and withdrawal is as easy as consent was.
3. Your choices
The first time you visit, a banner asks what you allow. You can accept everything, reject
everything, or choose category by category. Your choice is stored in the vt_consent cookie for 12 months, along with the version of the banner you saw, so we
can evidence what you agreed to.
To change your choice later, open — the same control is linked from the footer of every page. Rejecting a category deletes the cookies in it on your next page load.
Rejecting preference or measurement cookies does not reduce your access to anything on this site. No content is gated behind consent.
4. The cookie register
One row per cookie, grouped by what it is for. Strictly necessary cookies are set the moment you arrive; nothing else is set until you allow it.
Every cookie this site can set
Name, who sets it, what it does and how long it lasts.
Strictly necessary —
Needed for the site to work: to remember your consent choice, to protect forms from automated abuse and to keep you signed in to a Vedatricks product. These are not used for advertising and cannot be switched off from the banner.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
vt_consent | Vedatricks (first party) | Stores which cookie categories you accepted or rejected, and the version of the banner you saw. | 12 months |
__cf_bm | Cloudflare | Distinguishes humans from bots so that requests can be scored by the bot-management service. | 30 minutes |
cf_clearance | Cloudflare | Records that a Turnstile or security challenge on this site was solved, so it is not shown again. | Set by Cloudflare when a challenge is solved |
Preferences —
Remembers choices you make on the site, such as your preferred language for the website assistant.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
vt_lang | Vedatricks (first party) | Remembers the language you last used with the Veda assistant. | 6 months |
Measurement —
Vedatricks Analytics is first party and cookieless by default: it counts page views without writing an identifier to your device. A cookie is only set if you opt in, and only to avoid counting the same visit twice.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
vt_a | Vedatricks Analytics (first party) | Marks a visit as already counted so repeat page views are not double-counted. Only set with your consent. | Being fixed in the legal review noted at the top of this page; until then we keep it only for as long as the purpose above needs. |
vt_attr | Vedatricks (first party) | Remembers which campaign, search or advertisement brought you here (utm_* parameters and ad click identifiers such as gclid or fbclid) so that an enquiry you send us can be credited to it. Only set with your consent, and never shared with an advertising network. | 90 days |
Payments —
Razorpay Checkout sets its own cookies when it loads, which happens only on pages where you are actually paying. Razorpay is the controller of those cookies; see Razorpay’s privacy policy.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
Razorpay Checkout cookies | Razorpay | Fraud prevention, session continuity and payment-method preferences inside Razorpay Checkout. | As set by Razorpay |
5. How our analytics works
We use Vedatricks Analytics, our own first-party product, rather than a third-party advertising analytics service. By default it is cookieless: it records a page view with the URL, the referrer, a coarse device and browser type, a country derived from a truncated IP address, and nothing that persists on your device.
- The data stays on our own hosting and is not sold, shared or joined to an ad network.
- We do not build cross-site profiles and we do not fingerprint your device.
- If you opt in to measurement, one short-lived cookie is set so that a repeat page view in the same visit is not counted twice. That is its only purpose.
6. Other storage we use
- Local storage — the Veda assistant keeps your open conversation in your browser’s local storage so it survives a page change. It is cleared when you close the conversation or choose “Delete this conversation”.
- Session storage — used to keep a form’s progress if you navigate away and come back. It disappears when you close the tab.
- No pixels or beacons. We do not embed advertising pixels, conversion tags or social-network tracking scripts on this website.
7. Third-party cookies
Only two third parties can set anything on this site, and both are limited:
- Cloudflare protects the site and runs the Turnstile human-verification widget on our forms and on the assistant. Its cookies are strictly necessary for that protection. See Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum .
- Razorpay loads its checkout only on pages where you are making a payment, and sets its own cookies at that point for fraud prevention and session continuity. Razorpay is the controller of those cookies; see Razorpay’s privacy policy .
We do not embed YouTube, Vimeo, Google Fonts, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight or any similar third-party tag. Fonts, scripts and media are served from our own domain.
8. Controlling cookies in your browser
Every major browser lets you see, block and delete cookies, and offers a private-browsing mode that discards them when you close the window. The controls are usually under Settings → Privacy. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in and may stop forms from submitting.
9. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We honour the Global Privacy Control signal: if your browser sends it, we treat measurement and preference cookies as rejected and do not show the banner as an accept-first prompt. The older Do Not Track header is not standardised, but we do not track across sites in any case.
10. Changes to this policy
When we add or remove a cookie we update this register and the version at the top of the page. If a new cookie needs consent, the banner is shown again so you can decide. The technical implementation of the consent banner is maintained by term not yet agreed; this document is in legal review.
