TL;DR — A website quote is a scope document with a number attached. Four variables move the price: how many unique page templates there are, whether the copy is written for you, whether anything must talk to another system, and who maintains the site afterwards. Ask every vendor to itemise those four and their quotes become comparable.
What drives the price of a website?
Unique page templates, not page count. Pages built from a shared template cost far less than pages that are each designed from scratch. After templates come content production, integrations with anything outside the site, and the number of review rounds. A vendor who quotes without asking about integrations has not finished reading your requirement.
Vedatricks prices every engagement the same way: a scope call, then a written scope with a fixed price and an explicit out-of-scope list. Changes after that are quoted as change requests. The only price published for project work is the Quick Website starting price, because it is the only package small enough to price without a conversation.
What is the difference between a website, a web app and a PWA?
A website presents information. A web application holds state and permissions: users log in, records change, and someone is accountable for them. A progressive web app is a web application that installs to the home screen and keeps working through a brief loss of signal. The engineering cost rises sharply between the first and the second.
The three engagement shapes, as of 22 September 2026
| Website | Web application | Progressive web app | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it does | Presents the business and captures enquiries | Holds records, roles and workflow behind a login | A web application that installs from a link |
| Login and permissions | Usually none | Roles and per-user grants | Same as the web application |
| Works without signal | Reads only | Not by default | Shell and last data load stay available; forms queue and sync when signal returns |
| App-store review | No | No | No — installed from the URL |
| Vedatricks page | Custom websites | Business software | Mobile & PWA |

How should I compare quotes?
Line the quotes up against the same four items — templates, content, integrations, maintenance — and then check what each vendor writes down as out of scope. A quote with no out-of-scope list is not fixed, whatever the cover letter says. Ask who owns the source, the domain and the accounts at the end.
Vedatricks engagement types, as of 22 September 2026
| Engagement | Typical use | Price | Content written by | After launch |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Quick Website | A small business presence: a single-scroll site with your services, a contact form, a WhatsApp link and the legal pages | From ₹3,000, excluding GST | You supply the content and images | Anything beyond that scope is quoted separately after the scope call |
| Custom website | Multi-service business that needs enquiries from search | Fixed price against a written scope; quoted after the scope call, not published | Shared — we write the structure and can draft copy from your material; facts, prices and legal text come from you | An agreed support window, then a maintenance arrangement if you want one |
| Business software / PWA | Records, roles, workflow | Fixed price for the first release against a written scope; no published rate card | Not applicable | A change-request rate or a monthly retainer |

The Quick Website is the starting package. Many pages, catalogues, logins or payments take a site beyond that scope, and that work is quoted separately after the scope call.
Does performance still matter for a small business site?
Yes, and it is measured rather than argued about. Google’s Core Web Vitals set field thresholds for loading, interaction and visual stability, assessed at the 75th percentile of real visits. Ask a vendor to commit to those field numbers, not to a lab score from a single test run.
Core Web Vitals “good” thresholds, as published by web.dev, read 22 September 2026
| Metric | What it measures | Good threshold | Measured at |
|---|---|---|---|
| Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) | Loading | 2.5 seconds or less | 75th percentile of page loads |
| Interaction to Next Paint (INP) | Responsiveness | 200 milliseconds or less | 75th percentile of page loads |
| Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) | Visual stability | 0.1 or less | 75th percentile of page loads |

Is accessibility a legal requirement in India?
There is a notified standard. On 10 May 2023 the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2017 were amended so that websites, apps and other ICT-based products and services comply with IS 17802, the Bureau of Indian Standards accessibility standard for ICT products and services. How the rule reaches your own establishment is a question for your lawyer.
The standard has two parts, IS 17802 (Part 1) 2021 and IS 17802 (Part 2) 2022. The build practices are the same either way: keyboard operability, visible focus, real colour contrast, correct heading order and labelled form fields. All of them are cheaper to build in than to retrofit; the target this site holds itself to is set out in its accessibility statement.

What should the handover include?
Six things: source code in a repository you control, deployment access, the domain and DNS in your own registrar account, a written note of every third-party service and who pays for it, an export of the data the system holds, and documentation with a walkthrough. If a vendor cannot hand over all six, you are renting the site.
Vedatricks writes the handover into the scope: source, credentials, documentation and a walkthrough, with the domain, hosting, mailboxes and analytics registered in your name or transferred at the end of the project.
How does Vedatricks build websites and software?
The same way for clients as for its own products: multi-tenant web applications with roles and audit trails where the work needs them, progressive web apps rather than native ones, and a database backup before every production migration. The six client websites on the work page and the three Vedatricks products are open to inspect before you send a brief.
The three products are Clinitricks, Biztricks and HamaraPG; the work page lists each site with its live address.
If you have a brief, send it and it comes back as a written scope with a price and an out-of-scope list.
